Dirty surface as predicted - Márquez pretty much immediately switched to stiffer springs in FP1. Rainfall simply served to inhibit rubber being laid down. Some clearly had better feel than others enabled them to push harder. Combined times Márquez, from Crutch from Pedro. Hondas look the most settled although Marquez nearly chucked it at the pit wall exiting his garage. Factory Ducati's floundering. Tyre management is hugely important here, but right now choice is a nightmare. Márquez's fasted time set on a fresh medium rear, Crutchlow new front and rear. Same Rabat - Good job Tito. Short runs today - very inconclusive but Márquez strong in all sectors. Can't believe that Canet hasn't had a penalty...championship protagonist that's why. |

I’m still feeling wary about this track especially with the resurface, and Im anxious to see the next two sessions. | |

Damn, not sure what to think about the dominance of Marquez, 4/10ths on second and everyone else a second or more down. Not sure if that is more surprising or Dovi looking like he doesn’t have a care in the world in dead last on a dry track. |
