I guess MM as their only option hardly makes HRC a one trick pony, as a conveyance he is more an intergalactic starship, but if he gets bored and leaves I am not sure where they go, particularly with their engineering led culture producing not very rideable bikes in recent years which MM has mainly overcome.
Absolutely. If Marquez the golden goose were to leave the nest. They would be sitting on non viable eggs much like yamaha at the moment. IF Marquez were to switch jump from the nest, he knows his time would be in this next two seasons. Knowing well there is none to ascend him whilst he chases another crown in deeper waters.

As long as Honda are competitive (which they certainly look to be this yr), there is no way 93 will even entertain leaving until he beats Rossi's championship record.

Why is Zarco saying they won't have the same tyres in October?

If Honda is nearly as fast as at the test, this year will be Marquez or Pedrosa. Far away the Ducati and even in an other stratosphere the Yamaha boys, except Zarco in the beginning of the season where he benefits of the data from the 2016 bike and the already perfect set ups. It seems that Yamaha is a little bit lost. And it's a fact, that they are too late with the electronics. Ducati already had the MM and Honda employed the best of the rest from MM meanwhile Yamaha was sleeping ...

Quite likely. Which means even more so there is no path for anyone via a satellite Honda and Honda have no incentive to give their satellite riders competitive bikes.

I was and am not sure what to make of the changes in the Honda management structure. I doubt MM cares al that much, but one thought I had was that for Alzamora the current situation is probably perfect, and ensconces Pedrosa, the perfect wing man for MM.

With out a doubt that is the case.
How well do you think Pedrosa would have fared if he went the same route as others like Bradl. He would have been out of GP years ago

Perhaps referring to ongoing development of tyres during the season, the cost of which was one reason given for not continuing with Vinales’ tyre along with the new one after the riders’ vote last season, even though they obviously hadn’t discarded the previously rejected tyre.

I guess its his way of saying " I will be beating rossi early on .... so I expect them to change the tyres to make rossi more competitive".
