I Ride: A bicycle.
Alex Asparagus now there's a big crasher along with Miller.
Difference is they haven't MM's ability.

What I really can't understand is there are better riders than A Asparagus who next year have no seat and what has he done in 8 years racing, a single 2nd place and again a 3rd, when you consider how often he crashes, he's cost teams millions in repairs and hasn't contributed a single thing.

The commentators were talking about it in context to how odd a potential and former world champion crash so much and still compete for the championship. But to me most of MM's crashes happen on hot laps when he is pushing just a little bit more. Its like he needed to know that he isn't leaving any time on the track. He bins to find the limit. It's amazing.

I think you're being a bit rough on him. He did a really good job on the CRTs, he did well enough on the Suzuki he certainly wasn't embarrassed by Vinales and the Aprilia doesn't look to be a great bike either. He's never had a satellite or factory Honda, Yamaha or Ducati so is doing as well as could be expected.

I don't think so, when you take a look at some of the other riders who have been ditched and yet have a better record, regardless of the bike they are on. Granted that the factory bikes will only employ a rider that 1 brings sponsorship and 2 has only ever ridden factory bikes. I must admit I put the blame for this on Dorna, they are a bunch of crooks.

Ride of the weekend, Aleix Espargaro. Just 20 days removed from a broken hand, sick as a dog too. It's a comeback that Jesus would be proud of. I've really enjoyed all the reporters asking the entire paddock to comment on such a heroic comeback. I particularly enjoyed the Oxley feature on Krop's website regarding the difficulty of riding a GP machine with a still healing broken hand. I didn’t realize the g-forces on a hand that braking and accelerating at Valencia could exert on the rider, it's almost like A . Espargaro's pain threshold is non existent. The articles written on it have been excellent, really giving the double CRT World Champion his props.

That Ducati is looking pretty easy to ride at all the tracks not in Austria. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, the ride of the season has been Dovi, worst bike of the top 5 in points, contending to the very end.

Aleix has a teammate out there who he's spanked all season. They don't have MM's ability, nor the top GP all around package in the series either. Aleix should be judged against those on similar parity to his outfit, in that regard he's done very well.

Actually if you believe irony is involved in the context concerned you are probably betraying a misunderstanding of the term similar to that displayed in the Alanis Morisette song.

I agree with MDub about MM's current crashing. His crashes now are mostly gentle lowsides which do little or no damage to him or the bike, and if exploring the limits in practice means he doesn't crash in the races perhaps even of tactical and strategic benefit.

Miller, Espargaro and Iannone are more your old fashioned gratuitous crashers, although Miller does seem to be riding smarter and better of late, and like others I give Aleix credit for how he has performed given the equipment he has had.
