Sitting in 5th after returning from a near death experience. What else can be said about the guy? 3rd in FP1, straight out the gate! From his death bed to being on the second row of the race, can I get an AMEN? Children will be signing songs about Jack Miller's heroics for a thousand years!

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.
Yet no fanfare and nothing will be mentioned of his result if it's good.

He really needed to be near row one for the start, especially if it dry. Of course tire choices will be pivotal as always. But considering Marc loves PI and sits on pole, Dovi has struggled at this track and sits in 11th. Ducati's last win was with CS. None of the other Ducatis in top 10, whilst 4 RCVs ahead of Dovi's lone Ducati. It's not exactly a stretch to say Dovi is in some trouble.

Don't worry Dovi's just giving him a head start before he annihilates them all in the race, maybe........or maybe not, all the cheating winged ducs didn't even make the top 12 which isn't a good sign, usually at least Petrucci makes Q2

That's a fair point. It's easy to forget that Marquez hasn't been off the podium other than his mechanical since Catalunya.

I do wonder how much not being able to use the Ducs normal wings effectively is effecting Dovi and Petrucci who are having to run the standard fairings.

Absolutely.

All commentary I watched (with one exception) was about how great VR is doing with his recovery which 'no doubt is impacting him'.

The exception, and as much as I denigrate him sometimes, full credit to Nick Harris here who, after his co-commentator mentioned Rossi then went on a rant about Jack Miller, we can't forget Jack Miller who only only 2 weeks ago broke his leg (then went on to tell how Vinales and others were there when he did break the leg) etc

Yes indeed, but where will he finish, IMO he's a test rider not a racer, he's never done anything in any class of racing.
