Oh, and that number of 300 million popped up again

The lower costs strike the Malaysians as a worthy trade off for the smaller television audience of MotoGP, which claims viewership of 300 million households. Figures from Formula One owner Liberty Media Corp. showed Formula One’s viewership at around 400 million, down from 600 million a decade ago.

to me its a no brainer, MotoGP gives you more for less money.
