Rossi = money, so of course when push comes to shove, Yamaha, Dorna, etc are going to at least consider ways to keep the guy happy-ish.
I have been following this sport a couple of decades before it became a "business". I won't and never have considered it a business, conducted to line the pockets of one rider in particular and the capitalist idiots who are filling their coffers on his success. It should be a contest between the best riders in the world, and ultimitely the best man wins.

I dislike Rossi because both Dorna and him have turned what was a sport into a business. Dorna over the last decade have been happy to manipulate rules, impose rule changes on manufacturers not associated with Rossi, doctor tyres in specific directions, even stand over multi-national companies to get the golden goose any advantage possible. The quest for the tenth title is obsessive for both of them, and it is to the detriment of the sport, but not detrimental to the business. And Uccio, that guy is just weird.

If thats not a good enough reason, theres always "The Valeban", those flouro yellow wearing idiots who boo at podiums, cheer when riders crash and have no perspective at all where Rossi is concerned.

The title says it all. Why does everyone hate Rossi?
Once again the "Rossi Haters" label is being applied to forum users.

So reading this the implication for the future, is that Dorna will manipulate the classes where a VR46 team is.
IMO that would kill whats left of the sport, I would most certainly not watch manipulation of teams for the advantage of 1.
At the moment I have my fingers X'd that we have seen the last of Rossi on a bike and no I don't believe he will be back this season regardless of what he says.

Rossi is never going away. He will be back sooner than you think. They will probably come up with moto40 in a few years so he can relive bashing on Sete and other old men. Moto40, 40 and over washed up pro class. You heard it hear first folks.

He'll be back, wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't on the 2018 chassis so he can work on development of the team's bike whilst Maverick is busy with trying to win the title.

Even if he isn't competitive he will throw his broken leg over the yami and cruise around for 10th or so. The yellow stain will brag about how brave he is for coming back so soon. Like McGregor fans commending him for going 10 rounds with a washed up powerless boxer.
