Summery Holidays

I swear this 5 week gap feels longer than the 3 months over winter

Ha! Funny - I really wrote summery?!

Well, to be fair, I'm in Scotland, so we don't get actual summers. Sometimes our weather approaches summery... (not today)

Weather was good last week, Monday and Tuesday in Pitlochry, Wednesday at Loch Ness and Friday at Lossiemouth, great summery week camping!

Danski is fairly accurate. Over 20C is into "Too Hot".

We have 12C today. And drizzle.

Monday and Tuesday last week were certainly summery and approaching too hot.

I was off work on Thursday and Friday when we had the thunder and lightning

More pedantry I'm afraid, but thunder is lightning.

Triple that in C.
That's normal here. Counting humidity
Nice monsoonal rain, too
Don't mind it, as long as I'm hydrated

Is thunder not the noise manifestation of lightening, whereas lightening refers to the visual element. We regularly experience thunder but not lightening. I realise there must be lightning somewhere for there to be any thunder, but maybe in the clouds or something?

This time there was actual flashes. And my router blew. Incidentally, was that a surge through the electrical cables that caused that? I have no idea why I've put the TV, surround sound amp and blu ray player all on surge protectors, but not the router.

Hmm, why do I hear thunder really regularly but it's maybe only once a year that the excitement of flashes and streaks of lightning joins in?
