If it is indeed a falsehood then I apologise without reserve and clearly I've grasped onto what appears to be the single piece of positive news I have managed to find. Also, your point regarding the lack of a credible source can't be faulted.

I pray that with time further information comes out that supports their report on this, provides further good news and perhaps I was a little hasty in posting this. I translated it and skimmed to find the section purporting to have information that is pretty much the only positive update I've read thus far and have no reason beyond your critque to suggest it isn't true.

Right now I'm grasping for anything positive I can find to give some hope as I'm sure you can understand.
If he is still in a medically induced coma no-one can tell anything about his level of consciousness.

Brings home again why some of these guys don't even ride motor bikes on the road, I remembers story about 1 rider, perhaps John Hopkins, not even having a licence.
Most racers IMHO don't ride motorcycles on public roads because compared to being on a track... it's so tame, and of course, much more dangerous what with bad drivers, dogs or deer running out into the road, unpredictable road conditions, the potential for injury in the event of hitting a telephone pole, metal guard rails etc. - not to mention the lack of an ambulance or medical helicopter on site.

When you look at the yearly attrition at The Isle Of Man it starts to hit home that road events like this, even with the kind of support they enjoy and cars banned, are more suicidal than daring.

Quite a few don't, Crutchlow, Dunlop brothers, Rea, Sykes, Lowes boys to name a few. In fact just the other day there was a feature at the North West 200 with Alastair Seeley taking his road test. I bet there's a hell of a lot more too, some just aren't interested.

Anyway hopefully Nicky can make a full recovery, shocking news.

I'll wait for either news from his family or the hospital, nobody else can be trusted they only want to fill column inches.
