thats probably just their base salaries, I am sure they have bonuses in their contracts for contingent for points, podiums wins and championships. The real money is probably still in sponsorships, endorsements, and licensing.

numbers are way off. do you think JLO left yamaha for less money to ride the ducati? his offer was the same as rossi and we know ducati paid up for him.

I doubt these figures are anything but pure guesswork. Why would a team release details of what their riders earn?

If anything, they would be guesswork (except the Abraham self funded side) and would be base salary only (although I suspect, no wonder about some of them - seeming high) and as mentioned, aren't sure on the JL side.

That said, there would be bonuses on top plus individual sponsorships and other individual incomes that could inflate a number of the figures.

It's about as accurate as Pov's legendary sporting viewing figures posts. Also, it's the Daily Express which in England is approached with caution by anyone with anything vaguely resembling a critical faculty.

You thought Maverick may have been on more? Maybe they remember what happened with Lorenzo on the other side of that garage and are just erring on the side of caution.

Rossi's image rights alone could fund an international space programme - and in each riders case, as has been pointed out, that is not factored in.
