MotoGP 2017 - Team & Rider Changes

My partner has been really confused with all the musical chairs, rider changes and new teams for 2017, so much so that she actually made a chart to show where everybody is going ... typical school teacher.

Jumkie, frizzle, gekko1ro and 8 others like this.

The entire paddock is a buzz with excitement for Karel returning, the series just wasn't the same without him. He isn't on a factory ride but i don't think that will be enough to stop his natural talent and determination, except to see this guy fighting for the win.

I think Suzuki are really kicking themselves that they rushed and signed Rins so early.

He maintains that his dip in form has been due to focussing on the challenges ahead, which is absurd. When the same questions about his less than impressive finish to the season was levelled at Lowes he didn't look for any excuses, blamed himself (as usual), and gave the assurance that as a Gresini rider his sole focus lay in the Moto2 championship.

I'd quite like to seen Dovi on the Zook and Ianonne remaining at Ducati.

I Ride: A bicycle.
Nice to see Karel back, maybe I'll break my rule of not favouring one rider.

So signing to Suzuki is why he maintained the same sort of success he had last year? Hmmmm

Suzuki signing Iannone was a win for them but they must be kicking themselves for letting go of Aleix over Rins now.

Agree on Ianonne, I'm a bit of a fan and find him to be a fun explosive rider to watch. I think he will do well on the Suzuki, but the huge power of the Ducati has certainly helped him reel in the competition and get results this season, especially noticeable in the last 2 rounds.

I think they where so eager to sign a rider early in fear of missing out that they made a gamble on Rins based on his 2 wins early in the season. 20/20 hindsight is a great thing but they would have been better off just waiting for the end of the season before signing someone. Morbedeilli or Luthi would have been better choices than Rins.
