I Ride: Yes
got this from a friend of mine, can't find the article though....

Carl Fogarty is exploring the option of racing a team in MotoGP next season – if he can find the financial backing.

The Four-time World Superbikes Champion is parting company with main sponsor Petronas at the end of the WSB season.

His team race under the Foggy Petronas banner for the last time in Britain this weekend at Brands Hatch.
But speaking about fellow Britain James Toseland’s future, Fogarty said: “He’s an aggressive rider, and if he wanted a MotoGP ride, I would give him one.”

A similar thread also been covered by Frosty, concerning Foggy and Max.

Foggy really did not really succeed in WSB due to the Petrona's underpowered engine.

Dukes maybe, but in a highly competitive arena, is Foggy biting of more than he can chew?

I don't see him being successful in Moto GP if he can't even win a race in WSB... good for him though.

That was the bike, not Foggy`s fault. They built a 900cc triple to complete in 750cc fours vs. 1000cc twins, then the rules got changed and all the bikes were bumped up to 1000cc. This left them with a bike that was down 100cc on everything else in the feild. Barring this, it is actually a great bike, but it lacks the power and torque of a full litre bike, even then in the hands of a talented rider like Troy Corser it was capable of podiums, but thanks to Petronas not redoing the engine for 1000cc SBK rules, it was never going to go anywhere. The team was actually run very well. Foggy is a windbag, but the guy can run a team like he rides a bike: damn well. I think on a team in SBK or MotoGP, with a competitive bike and tyres, money and talented riders, he would be capable of good results. But he`s still a whinging old fart

So if he can't get it right, he won't in GP... that's my hypothesis anyway...

Either way, I don't like him at all to be honest. He's treated like some God when he didn't actually do anything, want to be good, win races in Moto GP.

My opinions on it anyway.

Don`t forget Foggy was the ONLY Brit to cheer for in WSBK,we did nothing in MGP.

Foggy has always been seriously over rated. He always talked about how he could beat doohan if he was in gp's and such, but he couldnt even adapt his style as far as a diffferent superbike. And look at how John Kocinski realized he wasnt good enough for 500 gp's, went over to superbikes, and beat foggy, enough said.
