Except when he brags about his huge talent and racing abilities. Can anyone show me where Valentino has ever bragged like this?

Agreed, I met him on the day of champions at Valencia, he signed a shirt for me and chatted for a bit, had loads of time for the fans etc, very different to the chap you see in interviews!

I Ride: An R1
Just watched FP2 and i'm getting totally sick of those dickhead commentators and their continual hero worship for the supposed GOAT,when discussing the will he or won't he? Vinales move to Yamaha they seem convinced that the greatest attraction in the move for Vinales is quote: 'The chance to ride with Valentino Rossi',not the chance to ride a great title winning bike for a great team, that seems to be secondary to these wankers,i've started to watch with the sound off, what planet are these cunts on?.

It isn't the 'supposed' GOAT, he is the GOAT. I know it eats you up inside. The record speaks for itself. Just ask Jorge who's the greatest of all time.....

I think Budoist's thread starter said it all, as is often the case.

I never have the sound on in practice, even the timing etc runs many seconds behind the live timing on the GP site, and the commentary much longer behind.

If Vinales goes to Yamaha because Rossi is his hero (obviously that would far supervene any other reason for going there, such as Yamaha riders having won 17 titles), I would suggest he ask Casey Stoner and Marc Marquez how him being your hero works out if you start beating him.
