Ladies and gentlemen it is getting to be my favorite time of year, silly season. All sorts of speculation of which riders will go to what teams next season. Here is the latest gossip I've discovered courtesy of RoadRacerX.com:

Apparently Camel Yamaha have made an offer to make Casey Stoner the understudy to Valentino Rossi and heir to his throne. Although, rumors also suggest that an offer has also been made to 250cc ace Jorge Lorenzo. Further speculation says that Camel Yamaha are very interested in reclaiming Nicky Hayden after losing him for 2003. Also interesting, 2006 may be the first and only year of the Camel Yamaha team as rumors, yet again, point that Telefonica Movistar are interested in becoming the title sponsor of the factory Yamaha squad. No word on Colin Edwards' plans but there is speculation of him aboard a Yamaha or Honda in 2007 in either MotoGP or WSB. That's all for Yamaha news...

Rumors suggest that Ducati are looking to replace Sete Gibernau for 2007 and likely candidates are Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden. However, Ducati are also keeping a close eye on BSB rider Leon Haslam.

Should Casey Stoner leave the LCR Honda team, it is believed that Andrea Dovisioso would be his replacement in the Cecchinello fold.

The BMW and Ilmor project rumors continue to float about. Rumors indicate each team could be in MotoGP as early as next season. The latest tie the BMW project to the WCM squad of Peter Clifford and Sito Pons' outfit.

Kawasaki appear to be content with letting Randy de Puniet develop but rumors suggest that they are keeping a close eye on Tommy and Roger Lee Hayden as well as Fonsi Nieto.

That's all I got for now, enjoy.

I don`t think this is a good idea, really. I don`t think those two will get along. Better off with Hayden, he respects Rossi.

3 paint jobs in as many years, Rossi is such a sponsor slut

This makes sense, and could be a good idea if LC can find a decent sponsor. Hyopthetically, say Yamaha take the Telefonica "Were still pissed at Honda and Repsol so this is how we`re gonna get our revenge" Movistar offer, and Chickynello snags Camels big dollars, anyone think he`d go for a 2 bike team? Take Dovi and try to keep Stoner at the same time?

I wish they`d come out with a few more details about these projects. They`re leaving us hanging.

If them Hayden`s can end up like their bro after a few years I`m all for it. Still think OJ should be first in line though.

Gotta feel for sete ... hopefully he can come back after this and be competitive again. but i really fear that his career is going to continue to go downhill

stoner and cecchinello work really well together, it would be a shame to break that duo up but its inevitable if lucio can't provide what stoner needs. But dovi? .... nahh, lets see if he can keep this championship first. Is LCR even going to continue in the MGP class after Stoner? ... i mean they only advanced to MGP BECAUSE of Stoner ... maybe LCR would go back to 125's or 250's? ...

I don't want to see hayden on the yam, I always have the idea that that bike isn't that good... hayden on the duc's, that would be awsome
I'm with richo on the bmw thing, they should give us a little bit more info on the bikes.

Tommy has had one stint in SBK when he was 21 or 22 or something and flamed out before going to Kawasaki and becoming the mature and fast rider he is now. Roger Lee, too soon to tell. He had a disasterous time with Erion Honda before he got it sorted with Kawasaki as well. They are both fantastic riders but not at the same level as the middle Hayden. I would love to see them get a shot in MotoGP but I don't think they're at that level. Hope they prove me wrong. And I'm with you on the OJ comment.

You really do have to feel for the guy. He struggled for so long in his career and it seemed like he had gotten it sorted in 2003 and was going to be the rider he was billed to be in 2004 and beyond. Then it all went away just as fast as it came. Poor guy.

I had heard those rumors as well, Drill. I had read they planned on racing at Sachsenring, which I think we can assume will not be happening, and they also had planned on racing at Valencia as well. Judging by the inaccuracy of the German debut report, I don't think they'll make an appearance at Valencia either. Debut in 2007 at the earliest is my estimate.

I Ride: Ducati 900SS (944 Nero Speciale)
He is a good rider but he hasn't exactly been setting the world ablaze lately.
