I Ride: the inevitable waves of change
Predictions everybody!
Rossi has a 1/4 chance of victory as we've established years ago

Hope dovis bike doesn't fuck up again
This should be a good circuit for both him and ducati so I'm hoping for a podium

1 Jorge LORENZO - Great day one.....too bad it is looking like Rain on Sunday.
2 Dani PEDROSA - Showing signs of life after all!
3 Andrea IANNONE - Soft rubber perhaps? you may want the GP14.2 for Sunday.
4 Andrea DOVIZIOSO - Good showing, but it wont last...
5 Bradley SMITH - Grand job...KTM should be looking at you for 2017.
6 Aleix ESPARGARO - Smoke and Mirrors...
7 Marc MARQUEZ - Would you like a Tanto for that?
8 Valentino ROSSI - Not good....but Sunday will bring the great equalizer...
9 Pol ESPARGARO - Beaten again by a ginger....shameful performance
10 Hector BARBERA - Great job, punching above your weight again...
11 Cal CRUTCHLOW - After MM you can use the Tanto...
12 Scott REDDING - You and Barbera should swap bike now....please
13 Maverick VIŅALES - Suzuki owes you a big time....
14 Jack MILLER - TOP Open Honda...
15 Yonny HERNANDEZ - Doing the best you can by beaten your teammate
16 Danilo PETRUCCI - Also hoping for Rain on Sunday?
17 Stefan BRADL - Beating your teammate again....nicely done...
18 Takumi TAKAHASHI - Blame Nissin...
19 Eugene LAVERTY - Faster than your teammate...not hard to do really....
20 Nicky HAYDEN - Relaxing and Looking forward to WSBK already i see...
21 Mike DI MEGLIO - Why not try Moto2 instead...
22 Alvaro BAUTISTA - Good think Aprilia listens to Bradl and not you for input...
23 Katsuyuki NAKASUGA - Just beat Takahashi on Sunday....please!
24 Loris BAZ - Wishing you could go the new team already I bet....
25/26 Toni ELIAS and Alex DE ANGELIS - You both deserve better fates....

Lornezo is looking good. Most of his laps in FP1 were under Rossi's best lap and he imporved considerably in FP2. Rossi imporved a little but not by much, so is currently 8/10ths off.

Rossi boppers are at it on Crash.net, hoping for rain but also saing Lornezo has Rossi's bike development skills to thank for being in the hunt again. Goes back to the article I posted doesn't it....

I didn't expect Lorenzo to be on form with his injury. Rossi needs rain. Both Honda's will play spoiler on Sunday. Rain also improves the Ducati's. Going to be interesting.

Rain is spotty to likely on Sunday...but any amount of rain will play havoc with JLo's mind...

Honda definitely will play spoilers here....Dani with speed and MM with Kamikaze will to win...

I don't think Lorenzo is afraid of the rain. He's won in the rain before. I'm not sure where this fantasy of Lorenzo being weak comes from? Clearly, that's not the case. Lorenzo knows that without it, Rossi has no chance. Not only that, but in the dry, Rossi will struggle to find the podium. Anyone would want conditions that suit their preferred outcome.

Rossi's only chance is rain, Lorenzo can still be competitive in the wet. In the dry, Rossi will contend only with the Honda's and his teammate. If it rains, I think one or three Ducati's will be capable of running well. No matter the WX, there are several plausible scenarios for the race, all interesting.
