2017 Teams - Question for Krops

I asked this on another thread but guessed you missed it. Rumours are that Aspar will be running Ducati's in 2016 (GP14.1's?). However, we also know that rules for 2017 are such that any manufacturer can supply a maximum of 4 bikes to satellite teams. If the deal above goes ahead, Ducati will field 6 satellite bikes so how is that going to work in 2017?

HONDA (3)
Marc VDS - Honda x 2 (If they run Miller)
LCR - Honda x 1

Yamaha (?)
Tech 3 - Yamaha x 2
Forward?

Ducati (4)
Pramac x 2
Avintia x 2

Suzuki (?)

Aprilia (?)

KTM (?)

Any news on teams in disussions with manufacturers for 2017?

No news. Too early. Forward might be back in 2016, god knows what Aspar will be doing (if he isn't in jail, that is) and there is IODA, AB Racing and more.

Forward have missed the cutoff for Yamaha's next year haven't they? Maybe they'll chase Suzuki!

Cuzari: "I can have Aprilias, Ducatis". That's what he said. Whether it's true or not is another matter.

Faaaak, if Forward get Ducati's too that's 10 on the grid for next year! Also then MotoGP will begin to look like WSBK circa 2002-2006 - i.e. the Ducati cup.

Presumably only for 2016 then? Unless another team (Avintia, Pramac or possibly Forward) drop them.

I suspect they will run Ducatis for as long as Ducatis are the cheapest option, or until Jorge Martinez is thrown in jail.

I Ride: Yamaha and Ducati
Ducati cannot offer more than 8 seats -- which would be 16 bikes to be provided for, quite a lot.
