Hi folks,
I am a virgin forum user here, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules etc but I am truly desperate to have a question answered:
For some time now, I've seen riders of all sorts of ages, disciplines and places, stick their leg out shortly before leaning in to a corner. This is not something that has always been done. I sort of get it in terms of balance as I raced motocross and the leg was used to flick the bike when loosing traction on the rear - but this was on sand and the lean angle was nowhere near a road racing scenario. If a motogp rider had his leg stuck out and fell or lost the bike by it sliding out from under him, with that sort of lean angle, surely it will snap his leg like a tooth pick!
PLEEEEEEEEEASE, can somebody put me out of my misery and tell me 'WHY THE LEG'. I will be eternally grateful to you!!
