i was just thinking about the indy round this year as i plan on being there. indy had a 3 year deal to host & unless i missed something i do not remember them signing a new deal beyond this year. tracks always seem to sign new multiyear deals well in advance.......... is this it??????

I have not thought much about it, but it could be. One thing for sure, Indy is about making money, they will not be held hostage for an event that costs them money. Ask Bernie. It is a shiity venue for a GP race, the only reason i tolerate it is because its the one GP race that is viable for me to attend. I still say Barber needs to get off his fucking ass, make some minor changes to the track and lets go racing at a proper MC race track. It would be an epic event. The place is top notch and the track is a viewer friendly, nice lush grass everywhere, free trolly system that absolutely rocks, especially when your drunk or stoned ,or both, and a MC museum that as far as i know, is second to none on the planet..

+1 Pov. I wouldn't shed a tear if it was canned as long as they replaced it with another US GP.

Big shame if it was, a few changes to the track would sort things out. I think the event at Indy is a high point of the season, it doesn't seem to attract the same attention as laguna though, maybe you locals could shed some light on this

I don't think we're going to see the Alabama GP in this lifetime........it's fuking Alabama after all! Great track, great facility in the WRONG place.

Its a perfect place, great track, major major centralized within 2-300 miles of millions of people. Birmingham is not a podunk city, and if your looking for more,Atlanta is right down the road

Dude, thats what they said about Indy. They expected the whole eastern sea board to show up; they hav yet to do so.

Barber is nice but needs lots of work. Plus Southern weather sucks balls.

Atlanta? R u kidding? Haha, what a shit hole. Id rather they move it to Miller. Sure that would mean that two GPs would b west if Miss, & beer would only b 3%, but at least it would b at proper GP track.

Miller is to close to laguna. I say move it to road america, like any track it needs a little work to be ready for gp. Bu that wold be a great place to see them tear around. Plus the motorcycle seen is very big in that area. Chicago and Milwaukee are both close.

On race day,
Indy gets about 90000+ attendance,
Valencia last year got a bit over 60000.

I'd say that attendance in Indy is acceptable.
