OK so its obvious that HRC bought Kawasuki's MotoGP bikes when they pulled out.

How else could they go backwards so fast?

Whats everyone raving about? Wasn't Dovi ( Honda ) in 3rd at the end of the last test?

Isn't it just Pedrosa who did not do so well?

Sounds like Honda are just where they have always been, its just that Pedro has dropped a bit and Dovi has picked up the ball.

Isn't Melandi used toOhlins? Perhaps muchof the reason they went Ohlins was Melandri's preference/input.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Mar 23 2010, 02:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Regardless of the past look just at the situation right now. Marco would be better on the GS.

Denning knew he couldn't put a world beater in front of Spies and did him the biggest favour he's ever had leaving him free to win the world championship on a better machine. How many ways do I have to explain that? Denning is a good manager. He knows his teams limitiation.
If Denning was a good manager, he would sign the best available rider for his team. Hindsight is always 20/20 but a good manager should have seen the talent there in Spies and done whatever it took to sign him. Not throw a tantrum because Spies turned down an emergency wildcard with limited track time and a wet session.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Mar 23 2010, 04:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Glass half empty eh Arab? Well we'll see. Fifth in the latest test and Marco...dismal. Even a poor factory team is a factory team.

Marco better do well or he's painting houses soon.
Even if Marco has another dismal season, there will always be somebody waiting to offer him a ride. I think he'd be well suited to superbikes and I wouldn't be surprised to hear his name linked with some WSBK rides this summer.

I don't think Melandri has anywhere near the kind of clout with HRC that it would require to make them ditch their own Showa name for Ohlins. I don't think Pedrosa even has that sort of clout. This was a painful decision for HRC, I'm sure. They're the proudest, most stubborn group in the paddock, and to admit that their in-house suspension team just isn't up to it is pretty amazing. Honda's switch to Ohlins and Magnetti Marelli is massive, I'm a bit surprised more of that move wasn't made by the press. Sorry to get off topic.

Are they going to be the new Ducati then? Only one rider can ride the bike with the rest bringing up the rear or near there. This is completely new territory for the Honda who have always claimed to be an engineering company. I would expect drastic improvements in all the Hondas by the first race.
