I was convinced, until yesterday, that Jorze has what it takes to put up with Vale, until the last turn
at Valencia and not being anxious at all.
But yesterday's mistake really confused me....
For sure it was his mistake, but opening his line so much,in order to have a tight line through
Coppice, and having a strong exit, shows he wanted to push away from the pack, ala Pedrosa.
But it was only lap number 8, too early to attack in such treacherous conditions.
Does that mean that he may wanted to pull free,in order not to involve in a battle with Rossi like
Sausagering and Barcelona?
Until yesterday he always showed patience like he had a strategy in mind.
Maybe i am wrong, but that's the impression i've been given...
But then again Vale gave him breathing space by falling, although some damage limitation was made with 5th position.
Rossi's crash shows that he was riding hard to shake off Dovi.
He should have gone for the 20 points...but that's The Doctor...love him or hate him....
Anyway, whether i am right or wrong we'll see it in the next 2 or 3 rounds.
I really believe Lorenzo can snatch the title but he juuuuuust misses at the moment this little bit
to come on top of Rossi, especially in a last lap duel.
He must win the next last lap duel, otherwise he may become the Gibernau of 2009...
And that will be really bad, because Jorze is a HELL of a rider and he has champion DNA stuffed in him,if you ask me.
Brno will tell us a lot, let's wait and see!

PS: Hayden is really improving...he finished ONLY ONE position behind Stoner!

Joking aside my hat's off to Nicky because he never gives up and i believe,if Ducati show some trust in him and keep him for 2010,he will be a top 5 contender.

Honestly i think its too early to judge if he is getting mentally beaten. As of now i would say no. Yesterdays race is not the type of race to judge simply because the conditions were so odd. If Rossi was right on him and he crashed from the lead in the dry, then I'd say maybe Rossi got to him. As for him trying to pull away, I think he was just trying to win, not necessarily trying to get away from Rossi as much as he was trying to get away from everyone and open up a gap.

But so far, no. Lorenzo is a strong guy. Doesnt mean i think Rossi will lose to him tho

Rossi has eventually mentally beaten everyone who ever challenged him. I think Casey has "lost" it a bit and now I think Jorge is as well. I reckon you can't beat Vale one on one (in the long run), so don't try. Just do your best regardless of what he does, and see where you end up. Just ignore him.

I doubt it. He's young enough and been around a while.
I reckon he knows his time will come. If not this year
- the next. He's come a long way in two seasons and
he knows it. If he hasn't got the knack of patience
- he will in time.

How can anyone say Vale has gotten into Jorge's head? IF your looking at this crash he just had it was not due to him losing his mind and just throwing everything away. The dude hit the corner of the paint on the track so as soon as he hit those brakes he lost the front. I seriously doubt that his mental fortitude had much to do with him crashing rather him just being a bit to close to the white line.

he sure is buddy... i dont think he gets beaten down mentally, you can see things just go over his head he ignores it which is the way to go cos it only takes effect if you pay attention to it.... which jorge dont do.

just another day at the races for jorge and he always looks forward to the next race.

Agree.

To new guy Ano, dude, he made a mistake in a very slipper condition. Rossi also made a mistake, why not title this thread: Rossi getting mentally beaten? After-all, one could say Rossi pushed and crashed, perhaps trying to distance himself in points as much as he could from his rival Lorenzo.

The suggestion here is that even though they both crashed from the lead (fact). One is mentally weak for doing so but the other guy is a hero. Sorry friend, I disagree.

As I recall, Stoner also crashed from the lead last year, so why would anybody think this guy is mentally broken as Valerian suggests if Rossi did the same damn thing? Its this kind of mindless comments that get my attention.

Nobody has gotten into Jorges head, as much as Jorge has got into Rossi's head, or Stoner for that matter. They have all tried to win, and made mistakes in the process. It happens when you are on the edge. But it seems only Rossi can get into other people's heads, right?
