<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (roger-m @ Jul 26 2008, 12:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>im just going to ignore his whining/comment's and just put it down to coming down from a big adrenalin buzz and disappointment in loosing. but as i said while sober i might add i have massive respect for him as a racer after this race. i cant believe i was lucky enough to see it with my own eyes. i met stoner too but thats another story.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Jul 26 2008, 10:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>So what's the story behind that then?

Oh and I would have thought security would have kept you, who wanted to bop him one, a minimum of 5 miles from Stoner at all times .......

As we were leaving the track, itís a bit of a long exit. The packs of bikes get large and three to four riders occupy stretches of lane. There are cops stationed along the long exit to direct traffic. At one point, my friend who was riding in a pack with us caught up to me to signal that he was running out of gas. Unfortunately, one of these chicken shit stationary cops saw him touch the double-yellow line and pulled him over to write him a citation.

Well having this incident fresh in our memories, the next day as we were exiting the track, Roger and I were careful not to do anything illegal. But as traffic bunches up near the exit, all the bikers pass the cars on both sides. There was little to no space between the cars and the double-yellow line. I wasn't going to pass the cars in front of me because the cops were at the front directing traffic. But being impatient, I decided to risk it anyway. Roger, behind me, not wanting to lose me followed suit. So I very carefully passed the cars in front of me, on the driverís side, closest to the double-yellow. But in front of me was a wide Hummer, so I was extra cautious. As I passed it, making sure my handlebars didn't scratch the side of the Hummer; I looked back in my mirror to make sure Roger had done the same. Being that he was on my borrowed bike, I wanted to make sure he could squeeze by without incident. As he passed the Hummer, I caught him become flustered and moved a bit erratically out of the corner of my eye! I looked ahead but I could hear the driver say something to Roger. I thought, oh no, fucking Roger scratched this guy's Hummer.

For a moment, I thought I might have to defend him from the driver. So I stopped right in front of the Hummer. Roger, all red faced and gasping for air rode up next to me and said something as he signaled back at the car. I thought, oh shit, we're in for a fight. Then on his second attempt I caught what Roger was trying to say; "Hey Jumkie, that's Stoner!" I looked back and said, 'shit!' Roger almost scratched Stoner's shinny new Hummer. 'Holy shit Roger', I said, 'nobody is going to believe us'. Just then I remembered I had my camera in my pocket. I took it out and snapped a shot of Stoner and his Misses. Fucking Roger, as he was squeezing by the Hummer, looked into the open window of the driver, and there staring back at him with a big ass smile from none other than Casey Stoner! Roger almost pissed his pants, says "Hello Mate", and Stoner returns the greeting and breaks out laughing at Roger acting like a star-struck schoolgirl. Fucking unbelievable. But believe it, I have the pic to show for it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Jul 28 2008, 12:05 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Nah, friends, I'm just enjoying Roger tell the story. We had a great time, as you will continue to see pics and stories as he posts them, I just don't want to steal his thunder. I'd say it was a bit of a dream for Roger, and I'm thinking he should be the one telling the story. I'll jump in with my own pics, no worries. He was exposed to something those of us who have been to the track knew all along-- that Laguna stands alone in its own right. So I thought it fair to let Roger give you guys the run down of the weekend; its best if an outsider toots the horn.

So you finally figured out the password Roger picked "G0DL1k3R0551" Thanks Jumk for keeping our #1 poster feed and juiced. Looks like you all had a kick ass time.

BTW, there is a reason why Peders didn't ride Laguna (besides not having the balls of Lorenzo who riders with broken bones).

And the reason is, I stole his bike and messed with it...
