Hi,

The title says it all really. I'm wondering if any Valencia GP veterans can give me some guidance about the best seats to aim for at the Cheste circuit? My budget rules out anything above the yellow one although I could stretch to orange if there's a good case for it.

I've looked at all the plans, 360 images, etc. but I can figure it out for myself. Some spots look quite a long way from the track and some of the cheaper grand stands actually look like they might provide a more entertaining view.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as there's only a few days left to book with a 10% discount. Incidentally, if anyone wants a base to set off from, I live about an hour south of the city and could put up three or four bods. We plan to leave on the Friday with a car and tent. Any advice on the circuit camping ground or alternatives would also be handy.

Thanks in advance,

Chris Shepherd

Yellow mid way through.

Sections 20-30 are great turns one and two just in front of you and you can see the majority of the track.

Been there and in the purple section.

Purple is too high over the pits. Okay if you like a birds eye view of the riders.

As for camping peeps just turned up and pitched anywhere they could from what I saw.

Hope that helps and you have a blast.

I might just see you there

<span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;<span style="font-size:14px;Thanks for that Mr Rocket Pilot. I now have the tickets purchased and printed based on your advice. Yellow, sector 24, F1 & F2 if anyone wants to say hi. Just waiting for the tent to turn up and obviously the race weekend.

<span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;<span style="font-size:14px;If anyone has any further comments on things to avoid orrecommended 'must do's', such information would be most appreciated. Any good local bars off circuit would behandy.

Can't help you with grandstand seating as i was on the poor people hill when i went. One piece of advice i always give people who have never been to Valencia is, set off early as the traffic is horrendous. From the hill we could still see a huge traffic jam of people who "were" trying to get to the track. I say were as the last race had already ended . Getting back out afterwards is just as bad. Be prepared to be searched going in and any beverages being taken from you. It is quite possibly the worst event i have ever been to but the racing was great and so was the weather. We got to the track at about 7.30 am to avoid most of the traffic.

I did know about the train and from what i was told it was packed to bursting point. We stayed with some forum members who used to come here. They lived in a nearby town and we had a hire car. I think the year we went it was particularly busy at valencia as the championship hinged on that race 2006.

I'm going to try and make it to Valencia this year too. I was about to post up a thread asking the same question, but glad I saw this one. Would be cool to meetup with you guys at the race.

This will be my first time to Spain. I plan on spending a few days in Valencia. Any help or insight into the general area would be great if anyone lives in Valencia.

Thanks!

Ok, I'm looking at the map to purchase tickets, and none of the areas are color coded. You recommended Sections 20-30 in Yellow... can you please tell me which selection is that one, screenshot here:
