Hey, what are the chances of getting Babel to let me borrow his x-ray glasses so I can look at what's behind the skirt? (Oh, c'mon Babel, you know I kid you man.)

OMG! Babel? Are you feeling ok? I’ve had a several report threads from epic race weekends and I don’t ever remember you making an appearance in any of them. So either you were looking for me with a pic kissing Rossi’s broken leg (as I had announced I would make it my mission) or the pics of the talented girls I posted brought you in to register a post. Or perhaps it was your ears ringing from Arrabi and I talking about you while sitting around the campfire (I’ll give you the details later). Either way, MotoGP in some form or fashion brings people together! So Talps Babel, thanks for the big ups.

Ok, well as to the photo with Vale. I’ll tell you, I tried to place myself in every strategic place to get a glimpse of the man. And wouldn’t you believe; at the end of one of the days, the gang was walking out of the paddock after all activity had ceased. We were headed to the campsite to get our drink and stupid on. Seriously, everything was dead and we were basically sweeping the paddock as if after a concert one is reluctant to leave the seen, perhaps hoping one might catch a glimpse of a rockstar. Even the diehards had left the premises. As we are walking between the seemingly vacant buildings, out walks a lanky figure behind us. We look back as the door opening interrupted the silence of the little alleyway. I look back, see a guy with a yellow Rossi hat, but think nothing of it since, well there are lots of guys with Rossi hats. But this guy looks familiar. Then CK says, hey, that’s Rossi! Holy shit, we had just passed that door 30 secs ago, but by the time the surreal reality set in (and really it seemed slow motion), I start to walk toward him. Oh Lord, could it be? So Gatorduc starts fidgeting with his camera as we both make a B line toward this mirage (as I’m still in a stupor of doubt). As we both start making our way toward him it feels like we are walking through an invisible forcefield making us stupidly slow. Rossi walks over to his scooter and buzzes away. For a moment I’m like the proverbial ‘deer in the headlights’ shocked at my missed opportunity. But wait, he stops the scooter and parks at the adjacent building. So Gator & I speed up the pace. We start walking quickly toward him, as he must negotiate about 5 steps up to the door, I’m thinking, I can make it. My heart starts racing, damn, I’m gonna get him on the top step, his leg will be eye level with me and it will be perfect as I will be able to kiss his leg while Gator (a pro photographer) can get this moment in all its glory. “Vale!” I yell out. Oh no, he’s now almost at the top step. I’m not gonna make it. Gatorduc is ahead of me but still hasn’t locked & loaded his camera. “Take the shot bro, just take the shot!” Vale is now on the top step and starts opening the door. “Just take the shot bro, you’re gonna miss it, take the shot!” Vale looks back at us, with a look like he just escaped something as the door is open. Vale turns his head in almost slow motion and disappears into the darkness. FUCK! I look back at everybody, hands in the air like…SHIT!

Sorry guys, but fate stepped in. Had we just been 30 seconds slower, we would have had an undisturbed audience with Rossi! Had I just woke up 30 secs earlier, or had I not stopped to take a piss, or maybe had I been 30 secs faster washing my ass in the shower, or perhaps had I not stopped to get the hot sauce for the chicken combination plate at the track, maybe, or had I simply ignored to take the 30 sec pic of that hot umbrella girl, then maybe, just maybe I would have been in a position to have a private meeting with the man in the yellow Rossi hat, a one Valentino Rossi!

So as a consolation, here are the stupid 30 sec photos I took of the chicks at the track. And honestly, looking back at them, I’m thinking, one of these bitches cost me the meeting of a lifetime. Damn.

I wonder if it was the 30 secs it cost me to take this pic...

9966:P1070005.JPG]

or maybe this one..

9967:P1070129.JPG]

9964:P1060985.JPG]

Or this one where the chicks wouldn't even stop for a pic...

9965:P1070002.JPG]

Or perhaps it was the sexy cops...

9969:P1070139.JPG]

9968:P1070133.JPG]

maybe I spent too much time with these girls...

9970:P1070148.JPG]

maybe had I not asked them to turn around...

9971:P1070150.JPG]

9972:P1070303.JPG]

the best ass in the paddock...but did she cost me a moment with Vale?

9974:P1070307.JPG]

I blame this chick! Errrr, it was probably her who delayed me 30 secs! Damn Dani Pedro fan!

9973:P1070305.JPG]

Ah, but wait, perhaps I'm bullshitting you guys? Maybe I did get a pic with the man in the yellow Rossi hat and I'm just stringing you guys along... Maybe Arrabi can help us with this little tickler. Just maybe there is a pic of me with the man in the yellow Rossi hat lingering in his camera....

With each PS meet-up that passes me by, I get a little more and more upset with myself. Thanks for sharing guys. Can't wait to read the rest of it.

Most of the stuff Jumkie is saying I really cant remember because I was so pissed/drunk. when we got to Long riders room we were really wasted because we drank so much on the way up. Our buddy said we killed 2 30 packs of beer plus half the bottle of woods between the 6 of us just on the way up. from what I vaguely remember the picture where i am making the stupid face happened after a 2nd shot of woods in a row because i made the same stupid face after the first shot so somebody suggested i take another for a picture.

You got it all wrong Jumkie. If Rossi wasn't a two faced douschebag and actually gave a shit about his fans he would have had 30 seconds for you.
