He may well get another chance, but he has done some near irreparable damage to his earning potential.

I Ride: The original
Fenati is fast - but inconsistently so. He's not only damaged his earning potential, but Rossi aside, pissing off Pablo Nieto is a major black mark against him in the paddock. Nonetheless, he'll probably graduate to a mid pack ride in moto 2 before making up the numbers in WSB.

Although he used to frustrate me by constantly shadowing Danny Kent during practice last year, I've always found him highly entertaining. Be it his reaction to Nikki Ajo at Argentina, his tantrum in pitlane at Indy or his near post practice step off wheelie crash. Every sport needs a pantomime villain and with Iannone going some way to redeem himself this weekend -(Eugene Laverty notwithstanding)- Fenny's erratic behaviour and temperament make him the perfect understudy. Romano Fenati is the Diego Costa of bike racing even down to the contemptible facial features.

I wasn't surprised to read this on Saturday evening, but on the other hand, outwardly he has been relatively subdued by his standards this season. Perhaps he feels the pressure of Bulega and has triggered the self-destruct button? In contention for the win at Mugello, he seemed almost relieved folowing his mechanical - almost nonchalant. Whilst I was expecting a Pasini-esque pulverisation of the bike, he dismissively leant it against a barrier and waved at his fans. Actually...is there any such thing as a Fenati Fan? - VR merchandise sells 'Fenny 5' T-shirts and caps but I've never seen anyone sporting one.

Anyway, I never tire of this and neither should you which is why we need to start a reinstate Fenny petition...

While we will likely never know the truth or full story, it is not often that we see riders of high profile sacked.

Of interest now will be whether the fact that he has been sacked from a Rossi led and funded team will impact his future employment chances, and not in a Rossi veto way but moreso in a 'if he pissed VR off that much then he may be a total prick' way
If only Yamaha had similar integrity you're projecting on to Rossi, eh?

Sounds like Fenati was acting like Rossi and they don't like it. Weird.

You gotta earn your right to be an asshole. Fenati might have been something I call a taint-head; a guy so lame that we can't even call him an asshole or a dickhead.

Aye one rule for one one for another. Rossi should look in the mirror.

Doing something terrible off track is not as bad as doing something terrible on it, in the middle of a race in front of millions of viewers. Yam need to grow some balls.

It maybe a cunning way of also getting in a better rider, or make his protege bulega the main man.

If rider has cash. Rider gets a ride.
Isn't that way it goes?

This is hilarious. How big is Fenati? He rides a Moto3 bike for fuck sake. Uccio has 200 lbs just around his flubby neck. They couldn't knock some sense into this "taint-head"?
