Moto2 riders failing in MotoGP?

Right, we've seen a few riders come up from Moto2 now over the last few years...and really only MM has been successful in MotoGP....

Moto2 Graduates
T. Elias - Failed to shine after winning Moto2 title, even though he did have several MotoGP experience...

S. Bradl - HUGE fail after beating MM to the Moto2 title in 2011, only managing 1 podium on a satellite Honda in 2013...

P.Espagaro - So far failing to set the MotoGP world on fire, even though he was supposed to be the one man that could take the fight to MM....no podiums in 1st year....even though I was expecting it given what people thought of his skills...

S.Redding - Failing so far and if doesn't deliver soon will definitely lose HRC's confidence a al Bradl...showed much promise in Moto2, but it doesnt seem to be paying off....

A.Iannone - Improving and showing promise but this could be more down to finally having a proper ride on the Ducati than his lack of skill and poor training in Moto2....

B.Smith - Doing well but was pretty much out of job last year.....and he really didnt set the moto2 world on fire either.....

Newcomers....
- M.Vinales - He basically did his 1 year in Moto2 and got out.....and i think he got out not only for the factory Suzuki ride but because he saw that Moto2 is a poor training ground for MotoGP.....so staying would not help his career nor his riding skills in MotoGP....

- J.Miller - As we know he skipped Moto2 completely....he knows it is a waste of time and of his talent....

Questions then...
So is Moto2 a poor training ground for MotoGP?
I think Yes

Should it be done away with and replaced with a Moto3 style rules buth with larger capacity (e.g. get ride of the Honda only engines)?
I think Yes....

Any other thoughts or riders i missed...

Its been on my mind so i figured you guys wouldn't mind discussing....

the problem is if a rider is not on one of the top 3 teams, he stands little chance of finishing on the podium. I think lack of experience in a series on a quality is more to blame then the series as a whole.
what would be a better series?

Moto 2 should be revised and a change of engine would be great. 500 cc twin cylinder 4t , it would be a much better noise than those horrid 600's. Unfortunately it will never happen in the near future because the current format is loved by the teams as it is so cheap. It'd be nice though.

Vinales is improving. Or is Suzuki improving?

I believe if Pol was on a factory yamaha you would see him shine.

Fuck it, give them all factory rides. Fuck the establishment. MM & JL are the two best riders in the field. They will be up front.

VR & DP would be relegated to mid pack. At best.

The problem is the factory rides are all hogged by the same riders.

The Majority of 250 riders called up failed as well. By default, more moto2 riders will fill seats as the years go by as they will be the go to choice as the feeder series of GP. Someday Rosii, Pedrosa, Lorenzo will be gone and riders from moto 2 will fill their seats and they will go on to be GPworld champion.

I don't agree. He has a Yamaha contract, and granted a customer bike in a satellite team, but I really don't believe that the extra resources and having parts conferred slightly earlier would make him go any faster and really there's not a great deal of evidence to suggest it would. Based upon a full season, you could make a much stronger case for Bradley - particularly with his superior development skills which one of the reasons KTM have snatched him up.

And neither of them have done as good as Crutchlow did on the Tech3.

Spies also did well on the tech 3 , it seems to suit ex wsb riders more than upcoming gp class lads, why?
