Southern 100:Dunlop crowned Solo champion

Southern 100: Michael Dunlop wins Solo Championship for third time - BBC Sport

Michael Dunlop won the feature Solo Championship race for the third time at the Southern 100 meeting on the Billown circuit in Castletown on Thursday
Won 4 out of 4 races at the meeting to add to his record breaking wins at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT as well as recent wins at Skerries and Walderstown, he's having some year!

To be fair though, this years Southern 100 has been the weakest in some time, William Dunlop sat it out due to his missus expecting their child this week, Guy Martin has taken a sabbatical(maybe done for good, who knows?), no Conor Cummins, there was only really Dean Harrison who was a threat to MD.

On the flipside though the Sidecars was very competitive including the top 3 in the championship race lapping the course with an average speed of over 100mph which hadn't been done before.
