Does anyone know if the MotoGPManager for 2009 is going to be active. I didn't get in on last years and would like to play this year with everyone from the forum.

Presently when I go to the www.motogpmanager.com website there is no way I see to sign up for 2009, it simply states "MotoGP Manager is updating". Actually it says this for all links on that site. Has anyone been given any status updates on the site? Is it going to be ready by Qatar?

What is the plan for a fantasy league this year, is everyone going to use the above or something else is in mind?

I think looking at the fact they stopped updating during last season, and the fact it's still stuck on the updating message notice that it wont be running, which is a shame.

If anyone knows of any free to play sites that we could team up with, post here.

And no, before anyone ask's I wont be running one again!

Thanks for the info Ben, I wasn't part of it last year so I wasn't aware of the mid season crap out, that sucks.

In the meantime, if anyone is interested, I have signed up at www.fantasyriders.com/ You can run a team in MotoGP, WSBK, and BSB.

I have created a Private League for us, if you want to join.

Pinky Racing Group is onboard for the season with 3 riders.

In MotoGP, PRG is running three amazing riders:

Loris Capirossi brings a great veteran presence that, as well as talent.

Nicky Hayden also brings experience and leadership, but Nicky on the Duc is still untested in racing conditions.

And bringing up the rear of the team is Nicola Canepa on Alice Ducati. Untested in racing almost altogether, we'll have to really see what the former Ducati test rider can do.

In WSBK: PRG is taking three riders into the championship:

Ben Spies. Well duh!

Jakub Smrz. Needs to get race pace down, and to stay on the bike, but he can show that he is the number two Ducati rider in the championship if he keeps the pace he has in qualifying this season throughout the season and into the races.

Just signed is Spaniard Gregorio Lavilla on the Honda.

PRG is also tackling the British Superbikes with 4 British Superstars:

James Ellison. One a Yamaha this season, and one of the title contenders.

Chris Burns. The young rider is on an MV Agusta this season, so we'll have to really see before making any real judgments.

Kenny Gilbertson. One of the more popular riders in BSB is looking to do well this season on a Kawasaki.

Also brought into the fold is Gary Mason on the Kawasaki. After spending the past few season trying to run in the AMA, along with his BSB schedule has taken it's toll on the young rider, but with no plans to run in Nasbike, he could have a real good chance at some good finishes.

(note: I picked rides in BSB because of their names and that they were names I have heard of.)

My team:

Katori Motors

Starting with just 2 Ducati riders:
-Stoner (Expecting him to win the starting race)
-Kallio (Cheap and the best of the rookies I hope)

(Oh yeah and I might still change Stone to 2 cheaper riders, but maths prove that 25 points from a win is actually more than a 4th and 5th place points together (which would be an extremely good performance for those cheaper riders).

Hey, I'm thinking... My Stoner & Kallio was the best possible combination for the first race, wasn't it?

33 points, hahaaah!

...After looking at the prizes more, I thought that there were a couple of better combinations, but then noticed that I get a 4 point bonus for pole position!

so yes, the best combination possible.
