Michael Howarth, 30 something, is from Burnley, Lancashire.
He started motorcycle racing in 2004 after his career as a Rugby League player for Oldham and Wigan was ended by a serious ankle injury. Indeed, he was about to sign a big league contact when the injury occurred.

Michael entered in the 2004 season, riding a Ducati in the New Era Sound Of Thunder series, winning at both Cadwell Park and Silverstone and finishing third overall.

In 2006 he was knocked off his bike at Snetterton which left him in hospital for four days. But being Michael, he was so determined to get back on his bike that after just two weeks, he managed to walk again - in the hospital swimming pool.

However, worse was to come when Michael was very badly injured at the British Super Bike Championship in 2007. During the warm up at Brands Hatch, Michael crashed at 150mph on the out lap, and his leg was very badly broken.

2009 proved to be another difficult year this time for his bike (MV) at times it struggled round the track and others it would do the fastest lap than the top riders and then spue oil everywhere or give up the ghost. Michael's fan base is a loyal one.

PLEASE if you have a company or know of someone into bikes that has money to throw around help out a Lancashire lad he'd be very grateful

Michael say's
"lookin to run a two man team on new bikes with great support and a real chance of great results . cheers"

I saw him a few year ago racing and kinda followed him since but i aint a statisics person or owt. I like to watch and see if he finishes Bless him

Thought I'd try and help out
