Heading up that way to check out the race later this month and just curious.

Viewing areas? Facilities? Parking? And so on.

Thanks.

Sorry... Got home last night and flew out this morning for work.

Actually, I was surprisingly impressed. I mean, you can tell it is new, and it couldn't handle a large event yet, but they handled the MotoAmerica race well.

Track - On the technical side. Two long straights, then the rest is s turns and nice corners. Has nice elevation changes in some areas. Do need to work on the run off areas. No gravel or pavement, just grass. One nasty wreck that would have been a little less nasty with gravel.

Really only a handful of spots to watch the race do to only having access to one side of the track. The other side is fenced off and is hill side going down to the road you drive up on. But, the one hill we camped out to watch the race was great. Could see a long straight with a bunch of over tacking going into the corner, and a at least three s turns on the the back side.

Would be nice if a bridge was put in and some seating was added to the infield and figure out how to put some facilities on the back side of the track.

Facility - Like I said earlier, worked for a MotoAmerica race, but not ready for a bigger race. Struggled a little Saturday with port a johns and food, but they saw the issue and brought in more of both for Sunday, which was nice to see.

Has a large camping area that looked 60% to 70% full.

Four MotoAmerica folks were staying in the same hotel as us, and they were just as impressed as we were. Said the owner did everything they asked and the groups was much bigger than they had expected for the first year.

Only bitch they had track announcers on the while showing the race on Bein Sports on the big screens.

Over all, great event and plan on going back next year.

Sorry did a shit jobs on the pictures.

Excellent pics! Thanks.

I'm impressed, it look interesting. Probably best (if not only) time to run a race there during year. Decent camping area. Is there an RV trackside view area? How close was it to civilization? Your thoughts on manufacturer participation and vendors area.

Did you happen to go see Benny Solis?

I didn't walk down to the camping area, but I think there was a view of one of the straights. Wouldn't have been a great view.

We stayed in Beaver Falls, which was about a 10 minutes ride over. Track sits close to a few small towns, with Pittsburgh being about 40 minutes away.

The manufacturers and vendors could have been better. Suzuki had demo rides all weekend and Yamaha had all their new bikes setup at their tent, but that was it. No Honda or Zawa. Harley was there! Only one or two accessory vendors.

It did look there was a lot of room to grow if needed. Everything (except the camping) was on new pavement and there was a lot of unused field to pave or use for parking if needed.

Really good first showing, B-, but with many opportunities to improve on.

Being an hour and a half away, I have high ups for it.

Have to agree on the pics and if I can say this ................. fuck it is good to see an 'old school' style of circuit that has not been sanitised by myriads of gravel traps and tarmac run off areas, mixed with staid and boring concrete backgrounds.

That circuit, based on the photos I have seen here and from Westy just seems like a good old character style of place and whilst I cannot say anything about perceived safety I will say that it is so good to see circuits of this type still around.

That's a beautifull part of the country, especially in the summer. Rolling hills, old farms, sweeping pastures. Would be a nice ride out, just to get to the track.
